Hope Self, R.N.

Hope is a Registered Nurse with 25 years experience in Geriatric Nursing. She grew up in New Orleans, where her grandmother would take her, her brother, and sister, to nursing homes on weekends, places that, in the eyes of a child, were very depressing, with residents in old hospital gowns, who had little to no visitors. She knew, even then, that the treatment of the elderly needed to be a priority. Fast forward, as a nurse in the DFW area, she has been blessed with coordinating the care of Senior Adults, and working with their families. During Hope’s career, she has had leadership roles in Private Duty Home Care, Assisted Living, and Acute Rehab, including participation in the Metrocrest Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Class XXVII. She received D Magazine’s Excellence in Nursing Award in 2017, and has since become a Certified Dementia Practitioner, as well as a Professional in the Aging Life Care Association. She has served on the Boards of many non-profit organizations in Dallas, and is currently the Secretary for Pajamas for Seniors, a non-profit that is blessing the lives of low-income Older Adults.
